The classic 1950s musical comedy "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" starring Marilyn Monroe goes up against 1990s erotic lesbian thriller "Bound", the Wachowskis' feature film debut.

They're both women's buddy films with crime capers central to their plots, but what other connections exist between these movies released 40 years apart? Which is more feminist? Which is more erotic, and for whom? And, of course, which movie's better? Brad and Spence will argue it all.

It's the gay Baby Boomer versus the straight Millennial as we review, rate, dissect, and celebrate movies ranging from iconic classics to cult hits to mostly-forgotten gems of old Hollywood. This is Old Movies for Young People.

The original film "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1953) was directed by Howard Hawks, choreographed by Jack Cole, screenplay written by Charles Lederer based on Anita Loos's novel, and starred Jane Russell, Marilyn Monroe, Charles Coburn, Tommy Noonan, and George Winslow.

The original film "Bound" (1996) was written and directed by the Wachowskis, and starred Jennifer Tilly, Gina Gershon, Joe Pantoliano, and Christopher Meloni.
